Half day hire of four hours is available at 60% of one day rate. First 100kms are included (then 30c per km).
*Full weekend = 5pm Friday till 10am Monday
Price includes:
- Insurance,
- Helmet & gloves for rider (We recommend using your own helmet for known fit & history),
- Rear luggage rack (Ideal for your back pack or gearsack type of bag),
- 200 kms/day free (then 30c per km),
- Breakdown assistance,
- Touring tips & itinerary suggestions.
Prices are in Australian dollars, and are effective from 1 September, 2008 to 30 August, 2009
and include GST.
CONDITIONS
Insurance
You are covered for personal injury by the Tasmanian Motor Vehicle Accident Insurance
Board which is part of the special registration fees paid as a hire vehicle. The
bikes are insured against accidental damage. This damage cover is included in the
hire price.
Insurance Excess
This is the maximum amount you are liable to pay for loss or damage to the bike.
The insurance cover pays for costs exceeding the amount of the excess.
Licence requirements
All you need is a current Learners Licence for L.A.M.S. approved bikes, or a current Drivers
Licence with a Motorcycle Licence endorsement, for any bike over 250cc and be at least 25
years of age. An International Licence, or a Riders Licence from your country of
origin is usually acceptable. For non Australian residents a passport is required
for identification.
Payment
We accept Bankcard, MasterCard, and Visa. Personal cheques are welcome when received
at least 14 days prior to the commencement of the hire period.
Damage Bond
A separate credit card imprint is taken for the value of the damage bond when the hire agreement is signed.
This is to cover any charges for fuel, excess KM's or damages etc. The damage bond is placed on a credit card,
as cheques are not accepted, and cash is not kept on the premises. The damage bond is fully refundable when
the the motorcycle is returned undamaged, on time, and with a full tank of fuel.
Maintenance
The bikes are current models and should not need any maintenance while you are away.
In the unlikely event that something does happen we will arrange for a local
repairer to help you.
